I have seen racism from both sides of the fence.I;m mixed race female and was adopted by white people.When I started dating I wanted to go out with Black men.I have known Black men who wouldn;t set foot in my family home due to my parents "whiteness" yet my parents are So not racist.I have had racist remarks from Black men and women due to the shade of my skin(light brown) I no longer know what to think! Black people can be So hyocritical.I;ve always thought of myself as a Black woman but if I;ve said it in the company of Black people I;ve been told I;m too light to refer to myself as Black.White people have said I;m not black I;m "Lovely!" So many mixed messages so much confusion! Its not suprising the world is in such a mess.From now on I describe myself as a brown woman and maybe that way I wont upset Black or White people!
