@Tippy
Hi there! I did not see the program but I have to butt in here and say one thing. Voodoo is not "Black Magic". Yes it is practised by Black people but it is not in itself an evil practise. The only thing that seperates Black(evil) magic from Good magic is the Intention of the person working the juju in the first place. This has always been a sore point with me because the media and a lot of ignorant people like to equate Black people with Black magic.
A few years ago a White woman (witch) decided she had a problem with me and took her problem to the local press. The paper decided to do a feature on witchcraft and they spoke to her before coming to me. When they rang me up they asked if I would allow them to visit me, take some pictures and do a short article on me and the work I do. When I refused they told me there were allegations that I was a voodoo mamba and would I not like to take the opportunity to clear my name. This turned into a nightmare because they were so annoyed that I would not play ball, they printed stuff about me anyway. I was so upset about this because being a Black woman I was convinced that I would only be seen in a negative light. I was not beheading chickens in the back yard, merely reading cards, clearing houses of bad energy and giving energy Healing to those who needed it. Ironically the newspaper article did not finish me and my reputation...I became busier than ever. Guess everyone loves a bit of infamy!
Back to your question...yes voodoo is Alive and Thriving and always will be. I have been in contact with several people who practise seriously in London, West Midlands and Manchester. Of course its bigger still in the countries of its origin. But as far as evil goes...I;ve met people of other more orthodox religons who worry me more!
