@blackbeauty..........the name christianity itself does not appear in the bible at all. it is used in general terms by people to describe the whole religion christ. its a way to distinguish it from other religions of the world............christianity is simply borne out of followers of Christ Jesus. To develop and relationshio with God all you have to do is pray to Him and aske him to reveal the truth to you. The Bible is a good book to read and there are many supplements that can help aid your understanding God and the relationship you can develop. the Bible and the Koran share some books or stories. yes many people do dtry to discredit the bible however if you pray for understanding before your read you will get more from the text. ....... good luck in learning more
