I have been to the states but not really experienced the American way of life as my visits were only 2 or 3 hrs long at the most (Stopovers to or from Jamaica). What I have gleaned regarding the USA has been from the TV or magazines as well as relatives.
It may be a misconception but I know Bluehoney can clear this up: I perceive American men to be more romantic than their english counterparts, also more sexually curious and adventurous (oral especially lol). American men on TV you always see them sayin I love u to their partner and its so sweet.

@Cutie though I don't have much experience with nonAmerican men, Since I have been in this forum, I can see that you are right about American men verses other men in the romance arena.
American guys live for basketball? (as these guys live and breath football)

I know darn it! and don't forget basketball where brothers are concerned.
Americans are much more patriotic (where we may be like f*** the queen, f*** the government and this dumb country, the americans are all about 'God bless America... Stars and stripes etc......?

Well we do have our fair share of criticism where America is concerned but deep down we know she is a blessed land.
Can u confirm or correct me on all this please @ Blue Honey?
And another thing... a pet hate to do with Americans, why do they have to elongate evry last thing they say? Its so irritating!
Fridge = Refridgerator, lift = elevator etc... for instance I was talking to my Aunt and I was like 'wheres the bin?' she's like 'what? the ben?' I said 'no Aunty the bin' ' what? the ban, whats a ban?' Im like 'oh my god' (all impatient) 't.h.e. r.u.b.b.i.s.h b.i.n' she's then like 'ohhhhhhhhh, u mean the trash can!'' I could have cried lol

Well you are saying Aunty instead of just Aunt.
One thing I love and envy about Americans is their prom and high school reunions and the way its some big formal family occasion for you to go on a date with a guy, thats so sweet. I also love that they do drivers ed at school instead of some dumb ass theory and practical that we have to arrange and fund ourselves.

@ Cutie so in most parts of Europe the students have to pay for their own driver's ed?
