Muslimah,

My opinion is in no way my attempt to disrespect who you are or what you represent. Far as I'm concerned I love Islam and their history. Though I've never cared that much for Louis Farakhan, I will respect his views. But this is my opinion about him.

As I read and hear more and more about him, some things really bother me about him and what he represents to the Black community. First of all Allah is not a bigot or separatist., but that is minor compared to why I'm not crazy about Farakhan. Not long ago I posted my opinion, only this was about books. The one I read and compared notes about the man, the more I realized how bad he is for us. First of all,as I've previuosly mentioned, I cannot support man, who is dillusional about slavery not existing In Southern Sudan. As a result some Southern Sudanese are resentful toward Farakhan about the issue and I cannot blame them. The bad thing about his denial of the slave issue is that it has been proven that it exist. Just look on the internet , ask some of the Southern Sudanese native and they will tell you about the Civil wars and slave trade that exist in their country. That was very foolish of Farakhan to deny it.

Secondly, I cannot take him seriously as a credible leader for the Black community. Yes, he had the Million March several years ago and recently the interview with Ja rule, but seems that he's more for show than progress of the Black community. Around the world there are some leaders who laugh as this guy because he is clueless their countries politics. Some people like, Nelson Mandela didn't laugh, but got angry with this man because he felt that he was being arrogant to the South African Black poor, with his flamboyancy.Even in the states, it bother's me to know that, he and his wife are living the lap of luxury in their home out in the Chicago suburbs, while many of the young men who supports him are out in the heat , cold selling his papers(I don't know how true this is, but I was told by one guy from Marylandthat if a certain amount of thoseFC paper are not sold, they get penalized in their wallets for it.If it is true that's a shame. Hmmm, that is funny because in that book that is what Vibert White said in his book as well. Wow! Maybe it could be true. I don't know)

Like I said I love Islam. Though Farakhan is the founder of NOI, I cannot support him or the organization. I cannot support a religion that is about Racism/separatism and I definately cannot support a man, who doesn't practice what he preaches. If I wanted to be a Muslim I want the real Islam--Sunni---Islam. I would want to be around people, whether they understand it or not, who goal is to better their live with Allah and who are unified no matter what racial/cultural background they come from. I may be a Christian, but it wasn't that long ago that I wanted to be a Muslim. From the little that I learned in the masjid, some of those guys don't agree with Farakhan's politics as well as they did in the past. They don't have a Black/White/ Arab Allah. They all have the same Allah and I see it the same way.
