lexi... i understand that they are meant to represent samaria and jerusalam... however this is stated in brackets and is therefore an addition to the text to explain the text and may not have been in any original text. if this was the word of god wouldnt god have made it clear that the two girls names represent two cities instead of depending on scholars to add this bit in.

in any case.... would god write or say to man a verse that says "there were once two sisters, when they were young living in egypt they lost their virginity and became prostitutes. the older one named oholah, the younger one named oholibah.I married them both and they boreME children. although she was MINE, olohah continued to be a prostitute and was full of lust for her lovers from assyria" [ezekiel 23:2-5]

im not even going to continue because it gets worse. so the above is saying that god married two sisters, who were prostitutes, and they bore him children, while continuing to be prostitutes.whatever the meaning or interpretatioin, does this text not state blasphamous words about god.

we do not even know if ezekial wrote this himself, or if it was even written in his lifetime. would god have spoke in this way to ezekiel and said these things. would he say he married two prostitute sisters, who continued to be prostitutes after bearinghim children... sons of god.... as christians believe jesus to be also!!.

before you all have epileptic fits over this, or interpret the text to give various meanings and explanations, remember all i am trying to show is that there is much discrepancy in the bible of today because of what has been done to the original message spoken by moses, abraham, noah, jesus, etc. this is why it is impossible to call it the "word of god" when at best itcan only be called something that was based on the word of god but is not gods word.the bible is put together and written by scholars, not prophets or god, and this is why the Qur'an was revealed so man would have an uncorrupted and authentic message from god. im not saying to follow islam, im just saying to open your eyes to what you are basing your beliefs on.
