Natural isn't going out of the window, it's down to personal choice, at the end of the day. Yeah most people do a lot of things for fashion for whatever reason, but most wear a weave for its practicality and for the reasons that Facetygalhas stated . Do you know the history about most of the things you buy? It's all about supply and demand, if some poor asian chick decides the best way to earn some change to chop off all of her hair so her family can eat all power to her..just like the name of a ghanian hair shop in london says..'it'll grow back'...sounds harsh but it true.

If you think thats funny...have you ever been around when two girls that are fighting..then two two's you... think you see a rat flying through the air and landing... but in fact it's a clump of weave? I saw that once in college and there were loads of people around, it was sooooo funny...we didn't see her for a few days after that.
I think, if your headtop looks 'hurt', looks like it needs a bit of TLC blkrubhead and you find yourself in that situation you shouldn't be opening your mouth anyway...because once that opening weave joke starts thats it boy! But that would go for any hairstyle i guess.
