Don't like it cos it always looks messy, it generally doesn't suit them, the dreads tend to look like tree trunks and there is no significance for them to have it. Same could be said for some black people too. A lot of black people with dreads don't practice rastafarianism, and could possibly have it done for the same reasons as a person may have a weave ie. to grow the hair, to keep from combing and styling everyday, environment etc. The best dreads I have seen so far is on a mixed race girl who I saw the other day. They were proper neat, a nice brown colour, nice length, all dreads were the same size, not too thick, not too thin and they actually suited her. I was intrigued as to how she got them like that, cos the first stages of growing dreads are the worst and it is high maintenance for a good few months. I should have asked her but I didn't bother.
