Just in case if you're not familar with theword Kemet, it's what our ancestors called Egypt. Kemet means land of the blacks. The first Greek visitors to Egypt, in the 7th century B.C., were greatly impressed by the Temple of Ptah. They regarded it as the grandest structure in the Nile Valley and they afterward referred to Kemet as Hekaptah, which means the land of the Temple of Ptah. In the Greek language Hekaptah became Aiguptos. Then under the Roman rule the name was latinized into Aegyptus, from whence we get the name Egypt.

An excellent book to read for more informationon this subject is"Nile Valley Contributions To Civilization" by Anthony Browder. It's a great book to begin with in the studies of ancient Kemet.
