As an academic/ educator, with a lot of experience in working in mainstream educational environments, I would very much like to get the opportunity to work in a more diverse setting. I have a list of historically black colleges - does anyone hereknow of any additional colleges (community colleges oruniversities) that have a large African American student population? Any information would be much appreciated.

There are schools known as "land grant" institutions that may not quite fit under HBCU status. Those that come to mind are: Chicago State,University of the District of Columbia,Malcolm/Medger College,Soujorner Truth College,Harris Stowe,City College of New York.
