Forum: Sorry I'm not sure who is advocating that Weed and mental illness is not connected as I've not read through this Thread..however I can say catagorically that there is a connection with drug misuse and mental disorder.. There is an Australian Study which I will have to locate that proves that there is a connection between drugs and mental illness..

I can also say from proffessional point of view having worked with people misuse drugs that WEED definately induces a psychosis that often leads to Paranoia and command hallucination(ie where people hear voices that tell them to do something..usually sucide or worse killing someone..)..

If people remember the case of John Barrett the man who killed the cyclist in Richmond Park..he basically relapsed into mental illness after smoking weed..
