I think that Syron character got the sentence befitting his crime. They dropped it from murder to manslaughter which I felt was justified and gave him 8 years which I think was also the right sentence. Even though he took someone's life he just did not come across as a very unsavoury character, silly as that might sound. Even the police said he did not fit their profile of a typical Trident suspect. All he was really into was selling a bit of green before he murdered that guy. The police officer was right when he said that the victim was someone's son so the crime was as worthy of investigation as any other murder - I wouldn't say it served him right that he was killed in such a way BUT the guy did have a lot of enemies and appeared to live by the gun therefore it was no surprise that he ended up dying by it.

The guy who lost his finger firing the gun in the road rage incident came across plain nasty but Syron seemed more like a guy that would have been an okay guy had circumstances not been what they were. I was imagining how he must have felt on the plane coming back from JA with his bible and his passport - I bet he is glad he came back and faced his punishment now but I don't think he could ever escape the feeling of guilt he must have for taking someone's life.

Personally having reflected on what Syron did..I think he got of bloody lightly..no way is 8 years sufficient...lets put this in context...he completely lost it, hepulled out a GUN and discharged it several times on a BUSY high ST... I used to work and live in that area and I know the location of the Maccy Mac..(near Bruce Grove Train STN), very well to say it was Miricle that no one else was killed is putting it mildly...Sorry but in my view he should have got LIFE meaning life...for that..
