Very good article (although I admit I skimmed it because it is very long). We often talk about how we "Afrikanized" European religions, languages, etc, but we must not forget that Afrikan languages and religions were also Europeanized in the process.
It is going to take some time to disentangle ourselves from the white man's web. Most Black people will come to blows with you over the white man's and arab's books. It's the way MASSA said it was, and that's all there is to it. However, I am encouraged by the rapid growth of Afrikan religions in the US. It seems to be concentrated in the Nigerian and Ghanaian religions (and of course, Kemet), but what's surprising is that it is growing so quickly in the South. I thought the South was a stronghold of Baptist Christianity. So there is hope.
