I just find it odd, slightly annoying, instead of sayin 'oh your hair looks nice' Its 'wow it that your real hair?' Guess you can take it as a backward compliment
To be honest I'm always amazed when I get that type of reaction, but least I grin and reply with a resounding 'yes it is' or just plain sarcasm
Life is one those things that most of us have to experience... Love peace \'N\' hair grease.
