This is a fascinating topic and exchange, especially between FredB and DM aka Mr. Bah Humbug!!!

I don't see free will/choice vs destiny/fate as an either or, proposition. I also don't see intelligent design and evolution as either or propositions. I believe that evolution may be apart of intelligent design. People just get tripped up by the creation myths and taking them literally, rather than metaphorically/figuratively;the world was created in 7 days, etc.

I can perceive the mundaneness/randomness of life,but I can also perceive certain patterns/energies/forces. I've experienced what FredB talked about regarding working against certain forces and energies, as opposed to being in tune with them. When you're working against those energies everything will be a struggle, everything will come hard, if at all(no matter how much of your will u impose), but when u get in tune with that energy and go with the flow as it were, everything not only comes easy, but you couldn't make a wrong move if you tried. It's like being carried along by a current, as opposed to trying swim against it.

The most pertinent thing to come out of this thread for me,however, is finding out that FredB is a Scorpio. I must say that explains A LOT,lol.
