@That depends why you broke up and the issues in question and who is fundamentally at fault...It doesn't follow that the person who is dumped for want of a better term is completely at fault in any shape of form...It can be your own atttitudes at the time which was part of that problem no matter how insignificant....

Abs is right you ended for a reason but experience teaches how insignificant that may, or may change with time and maturity..I know I was brutal as a young man in my twenties where women stepped out of line or broke the rules of engagement...They were gone and it was that simple...A young man has far more to prove than an older one who has done it and knows it and can deal in a more balanced manner than thinking how this may look or need to teach this woman and all women who they are ****ing about with...

Another issue is about personal growth and life goals which each individual has..It might not be possible to go back into an old relationship because you have grown so much or are that type of individual which places that other person in a catch up position from the off which is not a good place to start any relationship...

But it does happen and you hear all the time people getting married to an old ex and that type of stuff.
