THATS JUST SILLY!!! How does melanin correlate with a persons "SOUL"???

It would seem silly if one held on to the conventional idea of what "the soul" is. For clarification, in my observation, what is called the soul is actually the spirit; the part which animates life. Is the realm of spirits not called the spirit world?
Here are examples as to why I attribute the soul as a layer (meaning not the spirit but a secondary layer between the spirit and the physical body) which translates energies from the spirit. If you have never experienced both of these contrastive examples, then the complete expression of my observation may not be fully comprehended.
Have you ever witnessed a baptist church choir perform? Have you ever witnessed a catholic church choir perform? Of course the "racial" make up of both denominations have a tendency to polarize, but the energy both emits are just as contrary.
If that is not a part of your experience, have you witnessed a rock concert or artist and a soul artist or concert? The vocals alone don't convey the same energy.
Let's take a pioneer of soul music in the Americas, Ray Charles. Listen and compare the emotional energy between his version of America the Beautiful and the generic version.
Ray Charles "America the Beautiful"
Generic version of "America the Beautiful"
Does one feel the difference between the energies of the same song? The energy of Ray Charles' version is thick and robust, in contrast, the generic version is pleasant sounding, but the energy of the generic version is far more reduced, if any energy is emitted at all. That is a reason why I attribute soul as energy from the spirit and not as the soul being the spirit interchangeably .
