Recently I msgd this girl on myspace. Basically she is a totally african looking girl with seemingly no mixed blood, but she calls herself Native American. When I msgd her politely asking why this was, she told me that Native Americans come in all colours and that she was a Native American because her mum was and the culture is matrilineal. She added something vaguely patronising about me not understanding genetics, probably not realising I am infact quite knowledgeable in this department.

Anyway, what do you think? Do you think she is wrong to call herself Native American. I get the impression she had never met her black father before so it's not like she could know a lot about the culture.

I met some good loons recently. I looked up the sudanese groups on myspace to find out what those terrible genocidal folks think, and I was laughing my head off. All these clearly black african folks saying they are all arab. One of them was saying that an arab in anyone that speaks arabic, and then they started saying how they hated how people in the US confused them with black americans, who they described as 'slaves'- they all agreed that they had more in common with people from Saudi Arabia and Yemen than any black american.



So what are your views? have you met any even worse lunatics?
