I decided to go organic a few weeks back.
Cost aside, I must admit my food tastes 100% better. The potatoes need no salt, and the eggs are divine (although, at £2.95 for 10 large ones at Sainsburys, a tad expensive).
On the down side, bananas go black in no time, and garlic seems to take longer to peel (although I hate having to peel both garlic and onions - a pethate).
Overall though, I'd say go organic if your pocket can withstand it.
