He is saying something along the lines of, Islam's treatment of women is nothing special compared to what Africa has managed without ever having to cover women up, meaning there must be something wrong elsewhere if the solution for getting women respect is covering them up. Which incidentally is what I was trying to say at the beginning of the thread.
ok.. but i dont understand why he is trying to compare african cultur to islam.

i wasnt trying tosay islam treats , women special women dont need to be treated as godesses beacuse thats not what they are.. doesnt a GOODESSES MEAN a female god?
