Did you know that allowing your body some time heal can actually mean not eating for a while? Giving yourself a day or two without food can actually give your vital organs some time to cleanse and purify. This means drinking lots of water, having 'juiced' veggies and fruits and drinking special teas. Here are some ideas to help your system clean out and thus allow for new, healthy cell tissue to develop:

Ideas For Your Detox Day:[/align]
- Drink 4.5 liters of water per day (about three quarts).
- Have Colon Hydrotherapy! Ask Loree for more info!
- Have some fennel or dandelion tea - these teas facilitate cleansing.
- Rub soles of feet with mineral oil and with some fennel essential oil in it. This speeds up the body's elimination of toxins.
- Massage your intestinal area every morning and evening.
- Take a bath in 2 lbs. of Epsom salts. Relax in the bath for 5 minutes. Massage flesh for 5 minutes. Get out, dry off and wrap up warmly for one hour (maybe take a nap!) This exercise helps to release toxins from your body.
- For those of you who teach, massage or are in the service industry, a bath of 1 pound of sea salt, 1 pound of Baking Soda may be more helpful. The above recipe was invented by Barbara Anne Brennan. She is the author of Hands of Light. Ms. Brennen warns that you may need to rest thoroughly after such a bath. This regime also helps to release toxins from your body.
- Eat dried apricots.
- When you brush your teeth, scrape your tongue.
- Eat rice cakes.
- Get a loofah sponge for your bathtime.
- Brush the skin. This is a great way to help clear off dead skin and help rejuvenate the body.
- Eat Red Grapes
- Carrot or Beet juice (juiced) everyday.
- Have veggie broth. The company Imagine make a great variety of excellent broths.
