This is terrible what has been going on people used to think of the UK as a safe place to live but that is really changing now.
Happiness i am very sorry for you and your families loss. I hope that all the perpetrators are found and brought to account for this before the law.
My mother knows the Dosunmu family and she met with Michael many times and she says that he was a very good boy. He was always in the church helping out and was very studious.
I don't think that this boy was involved in gangs and neither was some of the other boys who have been killed. In Michael's case what happened i believe was a case of mistaken identity.
It is tragic when anybody is murdered in such circumstances and so young but I used to think that African boys were not really involved in gang culture but this has shown me that this is not really the case anymore for Black African British boys who live in the UK.
Parents of teens have to be very vigilant about what their children are doing. This gang culture that first started in the USA which has now penetrated the minds of our very young should be clamped down now as well. Some kids are thinking that they are hard now and big men to walk with guns and knifes.
We need to start seriously looking at who is selling guns and knifes to these kids. I live about 25 minute walk away from Leytonstone and i was down there the day of the incident. I hope that these killings settle down now.
