Besides, online forums such as this one are a great way for shy, reticent folks to interact with others without all the social pressures that come with "real life" interactions, as sad and pathetic as that might seem to some people lol

Ahh MB, I hope my relpy to your explanation post did not come across rude. Because I so hear where your coming from. Funny, the day I started this thread I was feeling impulsive and thought it would be fun to meet some of the BNV crew; I still want this meet to go ahead, as this could be a decent way to network and enhance social circles. However, I sooooooo understand where your coming from, me, I can also be shy when I meet some people for the first time... I tend to watch and clock more when I go into quiet mode... see the people you feel will be cool to get on with. I hear you. However, as I have gotten older I tend to just chat to any one.
