Very good question Prince Hakeem and one that as been asked recently to me. Its why I've decided to try and give an answer as I believe when you find several people asking such questions, it is the spirit of man which is asking for the answer.
In answer to your question the simple answer is "CHOICE".
God as given man freewill, to do good or to do evil. If it were not for choice we would simply be like robots doing as we are programmed to do and not acting outside of the bounds or remits of that program.
With choice thrown in or free will this program becomes much more complex and the programmer (GOD) shows how he is the master programmer of man, by working in amongst all that we will do, might do or won't do because of free will.
Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Life is but a simple question of choice, to do good or to do evil. However God will not bend our arms and take away that choice.
For instance look at the cigarette ban.. They get the people hooked, and then force them to smoke outside. Now the people's choice is taken away because of an habit that the tobacco industry put upon the people. They say they are working in the people's interest but are they ?
God did not put our habit upon us, Adam our first father did that and left us with no choice. What God did was put the choice back for Adam's offspring.
