I’m sure you’ve heard about the shooting of a young boy in stockwell two weeks ago, well I was brought up in stockwell in the stockwell gardens estate, I never felt like I was in a ghetto, bad or dangerous area certainly not somewhere I could be shot or stabbed,

Now when I ask my seventeen year old brother why he carries a knife he say ‘’everyone around hear carries something to defend themselves this is the ghetto nothing good comes from here’’ my mum thinks the same,

People get shot and stabbed all the time, most of the time these victims don’t even make the local news. Sometimes I think to myself what happened to are community and are streets

This is why I always say thing must get better, soon and very soon the black community will see that the people of this county just don’t care about us and are development we’ll get together and start to see real change when we do the hard work starting with are kinds
