I skipped thru the videos to see what was there.
This machine started flying in 1939.
This machine started flying in 1964.
Now assuming these were exceptionally good engineers doing cutting edge work at the time what does that say average engineers should have been capable of by 1975?
The way to improve the Lightning would be to use turboprops. That should raise the cruising speed and engine reliability.
A turbine car almost won the Indy 500 in 1968. But for some reason turbines were banned. Why ban the fastest technology from a car race?
This society has sabotaged itself with stupid bullsh!t automobile designs for the last 30 years. Making two seater sports cars is more bullsh!t.
