MzTeacher – Please take this in a positive manner.
Your correct response should have been: “Thanks you have given me a great place to start”.
Instead: you asked to be told. Whether this is a throwback to the ancient tradition of villagers gathering around to hear the latest news from the outside world, or the often commented upon, reluctance of Blacks to read, I don’t know. But look around, see how much good it’s done us.
In the adjacent thread “Rise above Racism” there is an ignorant White person posting. I have responded to him, but I’m sure that 99% of the Black people reading it, had no clue as to what I was talking about, but the White person did, even though he wouldn’t admit it. That’s pretty F**ked up, it’s about BLACK history.
Do yourself a favor, I have mentioned many places, use your web browser, do some reading. Sure you will have to filter through some racist nonsense, but the pleasure and satisfaction that you get when you find the truth will be worth it.
