Do the laws of physics care about math? Does the planet Saturn have to do calculations to figure out which way to move from one microsecond to the next? People simply figured out which equations corresponded to the observed phenomenon. The phenomenon don't need the equations.
Truth is information/knowledge which corresponds to reality.
But how much have we figured out about reality?
People will believe an airliner can cause a skyscraper to collapse but they won't ask how many tons of steel were at the point of impact.
