I'm interested in knowing if by acting "white" she means acting PROFESSIONALLY. If so, then that makes me wonder why it's thought that black people cannot act professionally without being thought of as coconuts? I'm sure many of those white people you're working with (their disgusting habits aside) do not have the same persona in the office as they do at home or in social settings, so why would you expect people of color to kick back and "act black?" in a professional setting? |
