Of the ~ 1.5 bn Muslims on this Earth, 200 million are Arabs. 500 million are South Asian (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc), another 300-400 Million are in East Asia, and the rest across Africa and Europe and those who revert to Islam.

Your anti Islamic diatribe is based on poorly constructed propaganda.

I am African, that is why I am here. I am Muslim too, no one wears only one ID, like everyman I have many facets to my persona.

I do feel Islam is a civilizing element, yes. Not just in Africa, but in Asia and everywhere else.

In the words of Dr. Yosef ben-Yochannan, "religion is the deification of culture". Christianity deifies Western Indo-European culture, just as Islam deifies Eastern Indo-European (Semitic/Arab) culture. When you deify/glorify someone elses culture, they become your god. It is not impressive at all the numbers of non-Arab Muslims in the world. It just demonstrates the extent of their imperialism in the world, just as Westernization (or pursuits of Democracy) demonstrate the extents of Western imperialism in the world. One could make the same kind ridiculous statement that "Westernization is universal" simply because there are more democratic societies that are non-European/White than its European/White originators. If we are going to discern with reason here, then it is obvious that your argument is just as absurd.

Islam has never civilized anything it has touched. It is fraternal to Western culture, in that it is the antithesis of civilization. Both Western and Arabic/Islamic culture seek to destroy everything it touches. This is evident in the fact that Islam has extinguished perhaps countless African cultures (that were more enlightened than Islam) in the last 1400 years of its virulent spread in Africa.
