It isn't about looking at the African man any differently, because he is apparently viewed as subhuman by Western/Indo-European culture to be constantly portrayed as an over grown primate or ape in the first place. Images are powerful, and go along way in maintaining the power structure of the White Supremacist society we live in.
I'm not saying for us to start marching and demonstrating, but we need to modify both our behavior and actions in a proactive way to neutralize and/or destroy the effects this White Supremacist culture has on our people.
We get confounded trying to get back to Africa. On my first trip to Africa, they asked, "Where's your passport?" I said "I have no passport...I was taken away 500 years ago; and now I'm back."
