Everything is politics, everything within a system effects that system one way or another.

If a person attempts to avoid the system and takes to being homeless for example he is causing an effect by not being involved, food clothes and shelter would be a factor, his passing away due to ill health would cost money, the fact that he could be working would show up in government reports regarding the status of the country.

The factory worker you can set your watch by is working for the factory and hence the economy of the system in general, he could supervise the molding of plastics or something mundane, those plastics would then be sold at a price to a consumer or shipped on export to another country... his pay would effect that cost, due to his long term employment his leaving could well effect the effeciancy of the company and again the cost of their produce which would then show up in the estimated value of that company and its worth to the economy of the country it is in.

Everything is politics, just as everything is change, cause and effect.
