I always chuckle when I come across people's ideology of the game "chess". I never knew Chess was affiliated with the smart, nerdy, articulate. I've been playing Chess since I was four years old. That is because that was the only board game in the house then. Me and my brothers and friends from the "Ghetto" laugh at it because we can't grasp of how it became a game for the "wealthy", "middle-class", academically privileged". We thought it was just a board game. I see black people all the time playing this game. You can go to the ghettos in New York and find people sitting in the park, starbucks, on their stoop, or in their home playing chess.
