Hence this Mrs idea is just one of the multitudes of Western adopted ideologies or traditions by Africans.

I intend to keep my name. I am not a property to be branded by another human being's name just because we are married. From my understanding, marriage is a UNION of 2 people.....an equal partnership, therefore i fail to see how a woman taking the man's name holds up to anything of substance. Me think some men obssess about this because it will finally make them feel like they are something special.....
