You might also want to look into using swimmer's shampoo or clarifying with diluted apple cider vinegar (ACV) after swimming. I find that ACV is better at getting rid of cholrine than regular shampoo. Some people also recommend putting conditioner on your hair and covering it with the swimming cap before getting into the pool. I haven't tried that but the reasoning behind it is that the hair will absorb less of the cholrine water when it is coated with conditioner.

Hi Aryek, I'm definitely too lazy to be dealing with washing my hair before I swim,its bad enough having to do it after lol, but I enjoy swimming and dont want to lose my hair so it has to be done.
My hairdresser said exactly the same thing as you regarding the conditioner so thats all good.
