This is the problem with labelling a culture a colour. How can you separate African carribean identity or now continental African culture from the culture of black people in Britain. I didnt grow up in a black British household. I grew up in a Jamaican household. I judged the world according to Jamiacan norms and values. My Nigerian freidns judged the world according to their Nigerian norms.
No other people in this world are labelled according to their colour. Chinese people would not accept a headline of Yellow robbers in Chinatown extortion racket..identifying with being "black" British is the source of plenty confusion.
