@The Dogon,

I don’t know if your last post was directed at me, but just in case it was I wanted to clarify. I don’t think that Obama is a “turncoat”. I’ve never even intimated that I thought that. If that is what you thought, I’m sure you’re not the only one because I find that people have a way of projecting their own stuff onto what another person is saying, presuming meanings that are not necessarily stated or implied, especially when that person is saying something they dislike or disagree with. As I told Mez, if I thought Obama was a turncoat or a sell out, or didn’t fundamentally view the world from a Black point of view, I wouldn’t even be discussing him. I certainly would not have voted for him in the primary. Turncoats and sellouts are not now and never have been our biggest problem, people who don’t intend us harm, who we implicitly trust and give carte blanche to have been our biggest problem.

I don’t like Obama’s campaign. I don’t like the strategy his campaign has used vis a vis Black folks. I don’t like the manipulation that was employed that I peeped from the gate, that most Negroes continue to be hopelessly clueless about. I don’t like the coalition he attracts, (particularly the phony ass white liberals who are typically way more racist than the tobacco spitting branch of their family they like to smugly look down their noses at, who are frothing at the mouth over him) think Joe Biden and his “Obama is clean unlike the Blacks before him” comment, and have absolutely NO interest in being in an alliance with them. I don’t like the obnoxiousness and presumptuousness of his supporters. I don’t like the way they have been willing to throw anyone under the bus/insult/disrespect/paint as racist or self hating Tom anyone who does not come to the Obama light, and even some who DO come to the Obama light,lol, INCLUDING Black folks who have been putting in work on our behalf for EONS. I don’t like the duck down in the back seat, back alley hooker strategy he has employed vis a vis Black folks, to put together his coalition of white support. I don’t like the way Black folks have totally gone in the tank for him at any cost and without any regard to self respect or dignity, without any common sense, self protecting mechanisms like maintaining leverage and accountability. I wouldn’t like that no matter who we were doing that on behalf of. So it’s really not even about Obama for me……
