I wish I had access to Ghana's soap (with cocoa ash) when I was a teenager. That stuff works excellent on the face. Then you can even cycle that with African Black Soap Facial Scrub made by Nubian Heritage. The Ghana soap is what helped my complexion when I was like 20 years old. I am 27 now, so it has a 7-year testament for me. The Nubian Heritage facial scrub is an added plus to clear up skin although it may not be necessary depending on your skin sensitivity. I have had friends whom it worked wonderfully for, then there are others who are sensitive to salicylic acid so it irritated their skin.
