the western strategy, as far as i know, is to be the bully at the playing ground because one is stronger, bigger than the other kids... to blatantly attack for personal gain, otherwise to find or fabricate a justification for the attack.
The ensuing looting will continue as long as there is no backlash from the victim worth reacting to, as long as the mission is still making profits. then, as soon as prognostications come in warning of a serious backlash in the future, it is customary for the west to start retracting, changing tact, offering the hand for shaking.
this phase of the western strategy usually involves the release of documents or other forms of proof of past wrong doings and other proof, such as this documentary. heads will always role at the end of the day, which is also just a part of the game that people who believe in the system accept and think is worth taking, just like soldiers on the battlefield know serious injury, maiming or death is part and parcel of the job description.
This is definitely a heinous strategy of dealing with others, and we all know when dealing with each other that you cannot take other people for granted. Some people never forget and forgive, while others will stay remembering, believing revenge is sweet. I can only say this modus operandi has only worked so far because people were more or less still relatively weak compared to the west, even at times when they were about to turn the tables they could be manipulated into accepting peace at all costs.
something tells me the west has yet to reap what it has sowed through the years regarding this manner of operating, that, eventually, the extended hand will get spit upon, no matter how genuine the offer of friendship is, no matter how much help is offered from the more powerful...
