more often than not stories like this are often released without the tech really being proven, for all we know this new ' weapon ' may never actually be rolled out.......

but if it is, i can forsee many problems, for a start i can see people filling law suits against the police for unforseen medical side effects like cancer, or pyschological problems caused by the electromagnetic effect it may or may not have on the bodies nervous system.

also it may be linked to mystery fires , somehow spontaneously catching alight.
