BUT!!! and i have say this, despite the tragedy....and despite the fact that it may not be fashionable to say this... I really wish people would be THIS outraged about EVERY black death and not just the ones that appears to be racially motivated, [btw i'm talking generally and not about the views expressed on here on this thread]. I wish that everyone would be as brave to whip out their camera phones and identify the person taking that life when yet another black person is killed either here in the USA or the UK by people other than the Police..
As much as I'm outraged and I am about this shooting, I really struggle with the fact that people do not get equally outraged at the far more frequent deaths that occur on a daily basis in some places... Or the fact that people suddenly develop amnesia when people other than the police taken our peoples lives, For me every BLACK life should count and NOT just those taken by racist or corrupt police officers...
I also have to say this, and it could be that i'm in the UK so maybe I've missed a bit of the story.. But i find it strange and quite sad..that the FIRST thing to come from the mouthpiece of the family is the word lawsuit and then the amount wanted.... wtf about justice..if you listen that bit came out almost last on the list of demands... is it me!!?
Someone shoots your family don't you FIRST want that scum arrested, charged, brought to justice, STOPPED..BEFORE you talk about money, civil rights..again I maybe doing the family a disservice and if I am I apologise...but I just found that bit strange..

Surprisingly enough I think most people here have given up on justice. The only sizable way to hurt someone here is their pockets. If you cry for justice this police man can get probation.
For instance RECENTLY, one guy here killed an AA gov't code enforcement worker hid the body and dismembered it. Then somehow instead of getting life this cat only got 15 years
Or
A kid was killed last year by a cop claiming he had a gun yet everyone else says the kid had a soda can and pop bottle.
Al Sharpton showed up, marches on justice were made, rallys were held and still the family did not get JUSTICE.
The fact is usually the only way to get JUSTICE here is a successful lawsuit. Because even if you are found guilty you can plea down to manslaughter and do only a year and a half to two and a half years and even less if you have been in jail since your arrest (time served).
