Hi Afriki, thanks for your reply.

I hear you, friends with a lack of money or children is another of the reason's I figure I have to do this or end up regretting it. Like most people I like to share experiences such as holidays so I have already ruled out places like Dubai, Jamaica, Egypt. I think once I have conquered my first solo trip, it will hopefully help me to do much more things that I wish to achieve in life, and can also be a good way to make friends. I initially thought Europe would have been a good place to start, but I want some sun, I then considered Spain for all of two seconds, as my experience in Barcelona last year was an eye opener to how much they just Luuurve Black folks.. Lol. So I won't be going there again, besides, Barcelona was the only Spanish place that I ever wanted to visit.
I'm considering 2/3 night spa breaks somewhere I can also take in some culture, or a few days In Malta... Not sure yet. Whatever I end up doing, your right about self discovery, this process alone has opened my eyes to how much I can procrastinate over things, before I make a move.

I once knew a women that used to travel solo all the time, she said she would pack her bags and then check the last min airline deals and go... How I admired that. I must try it when I'm more confident in my solo travelling.

I also found a site for women only hol groups, but I haven't checked the site out yet. Sounds like a good way to network and travel; I dont blame your friends Mum. Girl's gotta do what she gotta do.

God determines who walks into your life...It's up to you who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go. May God bless all of you and your life be full of Peace, Prosperity, Love and Abundance. Amen
