Well she saw what she thought was an opportunity to make some money/get her face out there/get some more TV appearances or something and thought 'Why not?'.
A black woman, married to a white man, making a play/opera about the BNP (white fascists party). Man, if that doesn't make for some 'reality tv style' publicity, I don't know what does.
