Not advocating for this product for one minute

BUT

people said the same stuff about the iPhone when it came out.....now they're everywhere. Is it because it's the 'best' phone'? Doubt it.....its because

it looks good (design matters A LOT in this market)
has 'cool' for those into it that way
is extremely well marketed
'Apps' have caught the mood big-time

Apple's knack is in 'changing the game' - shifting the way people look at an entire category of products - that is why the iPhone succeeded, and why so many other phones now take their design and function cues from it. iPod did the same thing. But neither started out that way, and neither were particularly innovative on release.

My take: don't judge iPad now, judge the second or third incarnation down the line....if it's bombing then, it's dead......if not......plenty of us will own one or know someone that does.
