Very nice Quite classic and original...great use oof colour...the way they blend...That's great meo...gifted in literature as well as withyour hands. Quite multi-talented from the looks and sound of it. Good to see you fulfilling the 'arts' side of you, because many people never do as they focus too much on academia and $$$. Al though it's hard not to in this day and age of 'work work work' 'Gottta get the pension, gottta get the house, gotta rise to the top gotta work like a dog' craze all around us. . Good to see you exercise all of your skills regularly. But like I said "Milk it my brutha!!! Milk it!!! banana.gifbanana.gifbanana.gif Your combination of colour and how you used them to accentuate the shapes, makes the anchor particularly alluring, really intense. I can see it now . "The basic_meo collection". You'll make a 'bucketful' (of money, that is). keep it going. If you did a course e.g. creative writing (you know, hone and tone your skills and have a 'qualification' to impress future employers and get your foot in the door) you could begin selling your work e.g. weekly or monthly poetry/writing publications, or even produce a book of your work. I can give you a tip right here and now... if you do decide to release a book...send a 'complimentary copy' to a black magazine both theeditor and those who do literature reviews, if they like it , they'll review it in an issue, and everyone will want it. You'll have tapped into your first set of customers and I'm sure things would 'blow up from there' . Hope the internet gallery goes well... Good Luck! niceone.gifniceone.gifniceone.gif

@basic_meo: You are truly talented and what you are producing is great. Are you trying to break into the market at all or is this still a hobby at the moment? I'm sure there's an EXPO coming upthat you may be able to showcase some of your work.

Thanks for letting me know about this Maat, actually it is a hobby at this stage, I am building my experience this time. I am thinking of taking it serious in future by opening Internet art gallery where I can show my work. And also I am saving money to buy an oven and build up my own workshop when this is ready I will be thinking of marketing it. I will not say no to any business at this stage if it come across my way.
Thank you very much any way, also I would be happy if you could provide me more information about this EXPO to have a glance at it.
I will send you a private massage when I have new collection posted.

@basic_meo: It was an exhibition featuring a "showcase of black manufacturers, wholesalers and artists" from everywhere but Asia and South America. There were business devlopment seminars, a trade show and of course a lot of networking opportunity .
The ad is on the back of the summer 2005 Nex Generation magazine. There's an article about the exhibition inside aswell. This is the first timeit was held in the UK so maybe if it was a success this year, it will be held again next year. It may also be on again at other destinations this year.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work too

@Basic_meo: the first picture "Bayoc" is really unique. It's 3D right?! What do you mean by practicing on it? I like the Harp too what is it made of?

Excellent! clp)
Easily your best work yet... It reminds me of a peice mafdet posted a while back but seeing it as a sculpture brings it to life much more vividly. I would definatly buy your stuff if I came across it. I love that it looks at first like he is playing a cello but the instrument turns out to be a woman he's undressing... nice touch!
Good use of colours.

@Kunjufu: I see thanks for that. The experimenting has definitely worked in this case.
@Drunk: I agree about the picture coming to life. I hadn't seen the cello I just saw what the man was getting up to LOL. I really like the definitaion on the hands and the way they gradually get bigger.
@basic_meo: Just remember to let us know when you start to sell and exhibit ok

Hello Maat, the art is in semi 3D, the harp was made of glass dust and grey clay
