@Soulstarr

Thing is though, in my own experience when I've been successful I was always notified no more than two working days later. I thought I would have heard from them by NOW (12:52pm!!).

Anyways I have another interview in the same field tomorrow afternoon but the one last week was theposition I was really hoping for! If I haven't been successful I'd rather just be put out my misery so I can move on.

@ac9311

To be honest it's still early stages (even though it doesn't feel like it at all), but if I don't hear from them by Friday I will give them a call to find out what's up.

The interview I have tomorrow is through an agency but the one from last week I applied directly to them. Personally I don't like agencies, but there you go.

anyway, back on topic lol. If i havent been sucessful for a job then I'm usually told by post so I tend to expect it to take alonger than theysay even tho it pisses me off!but I had the inside track on the job I applied for and the recruitment process sometimes takes longer than aticipated because they can be stuck between two candidates that they think are suitable. Either way, I totally undertand what you mean about wanting to be put out of your misery!

Bastids ain't even sent a letter yet. Even if they knew I wasn't a successful candidate they should have known by say, Monday. To be honest I'll just assume I've been unsuccessful and leave it alone. It does me no good to dwell on it. I am in a good job now but it's time for me to expand.

LOL I would have thought like you after all this time. For me it usually meant unsuccessful. Good idea to call them on Fridayeven though you haven't heardbutif you decide to callrememberto say you called for the outcome and feedback.It's not nice when you the candidate have to be the one to call in that situation because they know you want the job or you wouldn't have applied!

Soulstarr is right about the recruitment process. It usually takes long anyway so it's hard to wait around until they sort it out!

@Prince Hakeem: The good thing is that the agency seems to be really coming through for you.The one's I used just seemed to collect CV's confused3. You're obviously putting a lot of work into moving forward so something good has got to come of it.

Well I just got back from the interview.

I gave the agency some feedback about howI thought the interview went so we'll see what happens from here. The lady wasvery friendly but you never know until you get feedback which will hopefully be tomorrow. I may have another interview with a different company next week but fortunately for this month while things are slow at the company I work formost of my work is home based so I don't need to worry about taking time off.

The agencies have been quite goodso far but I still have a bad taste in my mouth after dealing with Brook Street in the past. That agency is blatantly anti-African male and I would never usethem again. :X

@Prince Hakeem: I'm hoping you got your feedback already. Did you call the other place in the end?

I didn't want to go into it on this thread but once I started to realize that agencies were collectingmy CV's I had to investigate because they weren't calling me after the initial visit... I found that agencies are judged by the amount of candidates they hold on their databases NOT by the number of people they find jobs. Yes they make money from the companies that use them to outsource their recruitment process but ultimatley it's about numbers. This is why it's so good to hear that you and Soulstarr don't have the same problem. Now I'm just waiting to hear that something good comes throughforyou both

@Maat

Well I was unsuccessful for the one I went for yesterday. The guy at the agency sent an e-mail (rather than call) to tell me. He said that the company told him I was very presentable and had the right qualities and knowledgebut someone who was seen before me got the position. I didn't even even bother pursue it.

As for the one I went for last week, I d
