Hi i wonder if anybody knows if you buy something within Europe and get it shipped to the UK do you have to pay customs? I am thinking about buying a second computer from Europe and getting it shipped to me in the UK but if i have to pay customs duties on it i will not bother.

I know that wheni bought something from the US i had to pay high customs charges £60 pounds for a computer worth £200 and i am not willing to pay that again so i just need to know if i will have to pay again if i buy something in Europe.

Thanks

You don't have to pay custom charges if its an E.U state (Switzerland is not in the E.U). The only way you can beat custom charges from non-E.U countries is if the sender states on the shipping document that the item is a gift. I've bought lots of stuff from France, Germany, Holland etc and didnt have to pay a dime except the shipping costs.
