Default pre-pay credit/debit cards - 26-09-07, 10:14 PM

are these worth it. i need a second credit card whilst i am clearing my current one. i know my balance is nothing to fear at present but i am not using it, have loads of available credit

however. i was thinking there are some net purchases that i wish to make from american companies and a card that is like a debit card is far easier in my mind to use for net payments.

with a pre-pay card i would top up my spends and then pay for goods so i wouldnt be in debt

i know some credit cards offer both credit and debit facilities that let you keep a positive balance

mmmmm

not sure

the cost of pre-pay cards are a bit to begin with but once you have it your good to go

opinions please

I know this is old but hey I'm hardly on here:

My credit is messed up big time, I can't even get a proper debit card let alone a credit card. Short of borrowing someone else's card everytime I wanna do an online transaction, or hoping the company uses paypal, I would have to go the pre pay route. Now I know of a card you can buy for £3 in a normal shop, the maximum you can put on this card is £150. I've checked out the website and it looks straight, theres lots of cards like this out on the market now and i say thank goodness for peeps like me.
