FOR: Afro-caribbean and African singles over 23

The first 'Lock & Key Party' held on Wednesday 30 July 2008, was a great success in terms of creating a positive, lively atmosphere for its guests, drawing the right kind of people, a good mix of ages and the right proportion of men and women:

(1) There were 14 women and 12 men in attendance (26 in total)

(2) All attendees were from a mix of professions and included a pharmacist, teachers, recruitment consultant, systems analyst, IT consultant, researcher/analyst and social worker.

(3) For women: Late 20s=14%, 30s=50% and 40s=36%
For men: Late 20s=8%, 30s=58%, 40s=26%, 50s=8%

(4) Positive feedback from attendees:

HOW DOES A 'LOCK & KEY PARTY' WORK?

Ladies are issued with a padlock and gentlemen are issued with a key. The idea is to match a key to a padlock.

If you make a match, you are entered into a prize draw, which is conducted at the end of the evening. However, you will also be issued with another lock or key, and the fun starts all over again! So, it's a fantastic ice-breaker and you'll be able to meet many singles in one night!
