I have checked out the site in question and agreed with most of the contents, especially the following:

[1] Black women told/taught to have gender pride instead of race pride!

What about it has you singing its praises?
Are you happy that it seeks to achieve aims that are in accord with yours and will achieve that which YOU desire?
Do you in fact know what it is trying to achieve?
What do you know about the originators?
Have you based your decision about its 'awesomeness' on any detailed review of it, or on those few words which hit the mark for YOU?

Before you give up your minds so readily to something you believe to be the "WORD".......FIRST USE YOUR MIND TO LOOK DEEPER AND ANALYSIS THOSE WORDS!

I try to weigh up anything I am presented with against the following:

1. WHAT exactly is it that they want me to believe/accept?
2. WHY do want me to accept/believe it?
3. WILL it benefit me or that which is important to me?

If I am not satisfied by the answers to those questions I do not let that thing influence my mind.

@At Abbisinia. Sis. An observation to follow up the good work of Backatya, particularly directed to the brothers. One day this cycle will be broken of ping pong and we will begin moving towards truth and have the necessary disciplines to move forward.

A lot of this in my view is about lack of understanding and conciousness of many things and processess. Both in terms of how our enemies work, their systems and strategies and how we as people man and woman, different personalites etc function in any given time etc. Understanding both similarities and important differences.

Black men have been done a serious misjustice which goes on to this very second. The section of our community who have been the first to identify the enemy almost at any time ,whether he be an uncle tom arse kisser or an silent informer amongst our ranks, has been who..Black men. More words have been written condeming the black man and white woman from who?...Black men than women at any time or any other enemy of our people.

So the need to want to put the other side, so to speak I think actually does harm in proloning foolishness. You see what it suggest which is what upsets many brothers is that black men have never been short of white people dissing them and black men highlighting the failings of others. Black men in the US did not need the combined efforts of particular sections of black women and white feminists to say Clarence Thomas was a traitor because black men had been saying that from the get go.

The perception is this and it is a very valid one. There seems to be more energy and unity amongst too many women in undermining black men in whatever guise they may wrap it and complement the dissing and deliberate undermining of them and by extension black women. Hence their is little energy in the problem solving aspect of the issues especially where it pertains to female responsiblity and the things sisters can control which lighten the load or make the problems less complexed. It is spent highlighthing things which are quite insulting to men and takes us back to the get go.

There is hardly any discussion on any matter to black men where they actually need most of the type of comments which are standard fare. What do we not know about black men who do not reach the mark, until we have to be informed by female parties.

Do we not know about women in the sixties until we are reminded. Is it suggested if we discuss domestic violence Backatya etc is going to advocate such behaviour amongst a male concensus etc or all men would support women staying at home and not being educated etc etc. The point being most of the contributions on many issues do not help jack but simply undermine which is what gives plenty brothers fuel.

Feminist were an essentially negative force where black men and people were concerned that is a matter of fact. If we pause for breathe and restrain our instincts we may even have time for some to come in and qualify and highlight positive elements. But the defenisve instinct just brings us back to point one.

Let me say something which Run raised in the Serena Williams thread but deleted it before I responded because it was an excellent powerful observation. People think that without concensus on key issues we will never have unity. I disagree entirely. What will be effected is the quality of the unity and how that meets the needs and aspiration of men and women.

But we will have unity, because the most powerful section or more domiant, organised and better led or enlightened sections will in effect rule and impose on the sections who are all over the place. So black men can and will achieve their goals with women smilling or being dragged by their hair.

It is the difference being in an ideal marriage relationship with your man where people are happy with their joint or shared roles work on an agreed agenda, agreed fudnamentals etc and are fufilled in various ways, and one where these things are paritially met, but her room for manouvre is limited, because hubby has shit locked down and all other options, including going else where don't look good at all.confused3.

Hmmm l've had a little look @ this site & in all seriousness apart from the propreganda & hysteria, the most disturbing thing for me was the blackman burning on the cross in front of all those whitemen..
